The Café-Restaurant Weimar is one of the classic coffee houses of Vienna's 9th District, the area where Sigmund Freud lived and conducted his psychological investigations. Barely 100 yards in the direction of the city centre from the Volksoper, the former Kaiserjubiläums-Stadttheater (Imperial Jubilee Theatre), it is the only such coffee house still to be run in the classical style. A visit is therefore highly recommended to enjoy refreshment before or after your visit to the Wiener Volksoper, where the finest operetta performances in the city are given.
